Egypt - A truly marvel of architectural prowess
More than eighty KOLORADO MK3 2500 were used in May 2007 for various live performances at the majestic pyramids of Giza, Egypt. The pyramids of Giza are perhaps the only true rival to the Great Sphinx when one thinks of ancient Egypt and its architecture. The Valley of Giza-- with its wonderful monuments-- is truly a marvel of architectural prowess. The monuments of Giza stand as a marvellous reminder of the skill executed in the creation of the pyramids, and are truly fabulous to see. Here's why several of the world's most famous artists are using the pyramids for their impressive live shows backdrops and the most renowned lighting designers have spotted the KOLORADO MK3 2500 as a powerful and reliable instrument for their lighting creations. The KOLORADO MK3 series, probably the most powerful outdoor colour changer of its category, is designed primarily for external architectural lighting, combining a wide angle high power flood light with the added benefits of a CYM colour changer, whereby the electronic mixing of cyan yellow and magenta dichroic filters can create virtually any desired colour.KOLORADO MK3 can function stand alone via a selection of in-built pre-programmed colour blend sequences, with adjustable times between these, from a slow, subtle mood creating colour mix through to an exciting colour chase for the GRIVEN signature superb effect.Multiple units can be synchronized in this mode, with one unit acting as a master, or single or multiple units can be precisely controlled via five channels of standard DMX 512 signal. Control set up is simplified by the on board LED display and push button setting. In this operating mode the lamp on/off function can be remotely operated. Furthermore, a stand by function reduces power consumption automatically by 33% after black-out has been activated for more than 15 seconds. The aluminium and galvanized steel body, with certificated weather protection, is coated with black epoxy powder paint for exterior use.
