Qatar - Vodafone I.P.O. launch in Doha
At a special open night, which was held on Tuesday 17th March 2009 at Doha’s Dhow harbour, Vodafone Qatar launched its I.P.O. (Initial Public Offering) plan aimed at persuading potential investors to turn into shareholders of the Qatari telephone company.
The organization of the event was entrusted to William Martin Production, which in turn applied to Creative Events Qatar for the rental of all the professional audiovisuals (light, sound, projection and LED screens) needed for the show, as well as for the complete technical assistance.
“We had the pleasure of working with William Martin Productions on the Vodafone event, which I believe was a success,” said proudly Jalal Dudin, Managing Director of Creative Events. “For the external architectural lighting of the tent we employed 12 GRIVEN Kolorado 2500 HMI, while 4 Imperial 4000, powerful single beam searchlights always by GRIVEN, were chosen to throw beams of light up into the Doha sky” added Michel Khairallah, Light Technician of Creative Events.
“The lighting effects obtained with these GRIVEN lighting fixtures were really amazing, the tent structure looked like a ruby in the middle of the gulf and it could be spotted miles and miles away”, boasted Jalal Dudin.
Since its establishment in 1998, Creative Events Group has been steadily expanding in the entertainment business market of the Gulf and Middle East areas, providing a wide range of products and services. In Qatar, it has pioneered world-class theatrical shows featured by internationally renowned artists as Luciano Pavarotti and José Carreras, as well as grand operas and ballets, staged by international touring companies as the Bolshoi Ballet.
