USA - Urban renovation at Regatta Park

Regatta Park, highlighted in the March 2017 issue of Landscape Architect & Specifier News magazine, is a twelve-acre waterfront park in Coconut Grove, Florida.  Located on the former site of the Coconut Grove Convention Center, the project represents the first phase of a comprehensive master plan to open up views to the beautiful waterfront and transform the area into a pedestrian friendly neighborhood. City Elements light columns by Hess provide illumination for pedestrians and power for various events held on the site.
A total of 103 light columns are installed throughout the space. The 17’ tall columns are specially designed to meet Miami’s stringent 175 mile per hour wind zone requirement. The columns with AA900 top elements are equipped with two LEVO LED modules and include a twist-lock photo control to provide dusk-to-dawn lighting control. Half of the columns include a GFCI convenience outlet to provide on-site power as needed for special events and maintenance.
