Designed by Dean Skira to rethink the way lighting is integrated into trees, Vipera combines a compact, refined spotlight with a flexible structural arm that wraps directly around the trunks or branches of trees and plants of different sizes, recreating the subtle effects of natural light filtering through foliage.
At the heart of the system is a "memory” tube, that can be easily shaped by hand to accommodate different diameters and irregular profiles while retaining the desired configuration once installed. This allows the spotlight to be positioned at different heights and angles, aimed at the target area and further controlled by a double visor fitted with two independently adjustable wings. Moreover, the system can be easily adapted to the tree as it grows, following its natural development over time. Multiple Vipera units can be installed on the same trunk, creating layered lighting compositions from a single, discreet mounting solution.

Vipera is also available in two further versions, Vipera Bollard and Vipera Spike, extending its versatility across a wider range of outdoor applications.
Vipera Bollard features a dedicated ground-fixing system suitable for different types of paving and concrete surfaces, concealed beneath a refined cover plate. Vipera Spike is equipped with an integrated 20 cm-long spike for direct installation in soft ground. Both luminaires bring understated elegance to gardens, planting areas and pathways, combining functional illumination with natural-looking lighting effects.
Both versions feature a flexible "memory” tube that retains its desired position once shaped, while allowing individual elements to be intertwined to create distinctive configurations. Each composition can evolve with the garden itself, adapting to changes in its layout over time and creating a distinctive visual identity with a strong sense of personality.
DMX-RDM manageable RGBW colour-changing and tunable white versions, alongside traditional static white light configurations at 48VDC, take Vipera’s family versatility to the next level, providing designers with further creative possibilities for enhancing trees and landscape features through dynamic or carefully calibrated lighting effects. The four standard finishes available - Black, Anthracite, Corten Effect and Olive Grey - reinforce the luminaires’ personality.
Made from recyclable materials, the whole range is designed to facilitate responsible disposal at the end of its service life. By directing light precisely where it is required, it also helps minimise unnecessary upward light emission and can contribute to reducing skyglow and light pollution, with the optional bee-hive filter providing an additional level of control.
