Conceived
by Dark Source and Eryri National Park, DS is an applique designed for
residential environments where precise light control and refined aesthetics are
seamlessly integrated. DS minimises light pollution while delivering efficient,
glare-free illumination. In compliance with DarkSky principles, DS directs the
luminous flux with exceptional precision exclusively onto the areas of
interest, eliminating any upward emission. This ensures optimal visual comfort
and a balanced nocturnal perception that respectfully engages with the surrounding
environment. Alongside 2200K and 2700K versions, the luminaire is also
available in 1800K and 1000K amber spectra for environmentally sensitive and
wildlife-friendly lighting applications. Designed to provide targeted general
lighting for façades and pathways, it features a LED light source with
prismatic diffuser and an integrated on/off driver, ensuring reliability and
efficiency. Crafted from die-cast aluminum using recycled and locally sourced
materials, DS reflects a responsible approach to design. Its fully demountable
body facilitates maintenance operations and enables complete recyclability at
end of life, in line with circular economy principles.
