A selection of GRIVEN LED luminaires helped transform Origin—an immersive experience born of Audi’s vision and Zaha Hadid Architects’distinctive language—into a continuously evolving, living environment.
In the forecourt of Hotel Portrait in Milan, Audi’s vision encountered, during Milano Design Week 2026, Zaha Hadid Architects’ stylistic language in Origin, an installation set to become the manifesto of a new design philosophy.
An experience encompassing sound, light, and digital art, Origin operated through subtraction and synthesis to reach the essential. Its space was continuously reshaped through a multimedia interplay of sound and light, transforming architecture into a living organism.

Griven contributed to the project’s emotional impact with approximately 170 linear metres of IP67-rated TOP VIEW LED strips in 3000K white light, seamlessly integrated within the structure designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, following its fluid geometries.
Thanks to their flexible structure and customisable lengths, the LED strips adapted perfectly to the inner contours of the futuristic installation by Zaha Hadid Architects and to the specific requirements of the lighting design developed by Michele Pasca di Magliano’s team, delivering a dynamic and immersive luminous experience.
Through dedicated programming, the LED strips switched on and off, modulated intensity, and shifted through different white tones, interacting in real time with a bespoke soundtrack created by Zaha Hadid Architects in collaboration with a sound designer—resulting in a high-impact, emotionally engaging multimedia experience.
The perimeter of the shallow pool surrounding Origin, designed to amplify spatial depth through gently rippling reflections, featured a series of MOON MARINE INOX luminaires in 3000K white light. Engineered for landscape and architectural applications in coastal environments, these luminaires offer exceptional resistance to humidity and saltwater, ensuring long-term durability.
Their refined aesthetic and understated elegance aligned seamlessly with the language of Origin, delivering precise lighting effects that softly articulated the exterior contours of the structure with a subtle yet emotionally resonant glow.
A selection of CAPITAL 100 luminaires in white light completed this sensorial experience, providing overall illumination to the courtyard of Portrait Milano.
