We’re proud to share an important new chapter in
Griven’s story!
We are an Italian company through and through, known
around the world for our architectural and landscape lighting fixtures, with
our home in Castel Goffredo (MN) and teams in Milan, London, Madrid, and Mexico
City. Today, Griven is once again 100% Italian-owned. The company has been
acquired by our former CEO, Luca M. Meinardi, through Noiabr S.r.l., a company
owned by Memir (represented by Luca) and Origini Società S.p.A. With this step,
Luca has acquired 100% of Griven’s share capital, previously held by Experience
Brands, the international lighting group that also includes Hess America and
Lamp Spain.

Griven was founded in 1990 as an Italian company. In
2015, we became part of an international private equity fund, a phase that
helped us grow and evolve. Ten years later, we’ve proudly come full circle,
returning to private Italian ownership and reaffirming our deep connection to Made
in Italy values, culture, and craftsmanship.
This return to our roots doesn’t mean looking inward.
On the contrary, our Italian identity has always gone hand in hand with a
strong international outlook. We firmly believe that Italian design, expertise,
and manufacturing excellence have a powerful role to play in shaping the future
of the global lighting market. Our international spirit is part of who we are.
It reflects Luca’s many years of professional experience abroad, our
export-driven mindset since day one, and the truly international nature of our
team and our clients across the world.
As Luca puts it: "The fund’s decision to sell the
company was a turning point for me. We needed to protect our heritage while
preparing Griven for a future driven by global vision, design, and technology.
I felt too involved in shaping Griven’s journey to hand it over to strangers.
Completing what I had started years ago felt like both a responsibility to our
people and their families, and a personal challenge I couldn’t walk away from.
Bringing Griven back to full Italian ownership is a dream come true—and a way
to safeguard our legacy, support our team, and continue sharing Italian
excellence with the world. And here we are.”
This is more than an acquisition. It’s a
homecoming—and the beginning of a new, exciting phase for Griven.
The transaction was structured as a full transfer of
ownership and was supported by Pirola Pennuto Zei & Associati as legal
advisors to Experience Brands and Guidi Sassi & Associati as legal advisors
to the buyer. Carlsquare Limited acted as financial advisor, while Marco
Farina, founding partner of FM Notai, handled the notarial aspects of the
transaction.
