'Aevum' by Zaha Hadid Architects for A.A.T.C. and Co.
As part of Milan Design Week 2025, internationally renowned architects and designers have showcased their personal interpretations of creativity and action in the exhibition ‘Cre-Action’. Through a series of installations, the event  has highlighted the deep connection among architecture, art, and sustainability.

The University of Milan is one of five Milanese venues which hosted ‘Cre-Action’, a major event conceived and organized by the interior and contemporary design magazine INTERNI, from April 7 to 17, 2025. The term ‘Cre-Action’ was meant to evoke a dynamic process where creativity translates into action, capable of driving change.

2025
The historic university has been transformed into a vibrant hub of ideas, where a detailed and realistic exploration of the bond between design, art, and architecture materializes into interactive works and ever-changing spaces. These installations challenge perceptions while showcasing the transformative power of creativity. The 2025 edition has engaged leading architects, designers, and companies in a collaborative dialogue, with design playing a pivotal role. This initiative has inspired action and creation, encouraged reflection and experience, and established the designer as a key figure in making the culture of design both accessible and understandable to all.
Among the installations featured at the University of Milan for ‘Cre-Action’, ‘Aevum’, meaning Eternity, has celebrated the timeless beauty of marble, exploring innovative and unconventional applications of this material, including the use of stone waste. Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects  and illuminated by Griven, the sculpture consists of three large arches of varying sizes—one crafted from solid marble and two 3D-printed using a concrete blend. In visual harmony with the university’s magnificent colonnade, the installation seamlessly blends the culture of craftsmanship with advanced technology, creating a sensory experience enriched by light and symbolizing the promise of a sustainable future.
